Lara Blake Bors came to Finney County, Kansas, in 2001, after graduating from Washburn University School of Law. She began her career in the Finney County Attorney’s Office where she spent approximately nine years handling a wide range of cases including traffic, misdemeanor, juvenile, child in need of care and major felonies. She opened Bors Law, P.A., in August, 2011. Since opening her own practice she serves her clients in domestic and family law matters, general criminal cases, traffic matters, DUI, probate and adoption cases. Lara works diligently for her clients and listens to their concerns while handling their cases in the most efficient and effective way to meet the client’s goals. She is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Kansas and the United States Supreme Court.
Lara also believes in giving back to the community which has given so much to her. She currently serves as a member of the USD-457 Board of Education. From July, 2015, to July, 2016, she served as the President of the Board. She was also elected as the region’s Vice-President to the Kansas Association of School Boards Board of Directors. She serves as a Vice-President for Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She represents juvenile defense attorneys on the Juvenile Justice Oversight Committee and the 25th Judicial District Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board. She represents Guardian ad litems on the Citizen Review Panel: Custody to Transition. She is a member of the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Kansas Women Attorney’s Association, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas Lawyer’s Assistance Program, and the Finney County Bar Association. Lara and her husband are active with their two boys and participate in their various activities such as football, wrestling, baseball, soccer, basketball, Boy Scouts and many others.
